1. Who We Are

FairCarPrice (and its French counterpart JustePrixAuto) is an independent Canadian technology initiative developed by Monetis Financial Corporation.

In accordance with the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Quebec's Law 25) and the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), the designated Privacy Officer within Monetis Financial Corporation is:

2. Personal Information Collected

We restrict data collection strictly to what is necessary to fulfill our appraisal and communication services:

• Contact Information: your first name (collected when signing up for the priority access waitlist and when submitting an evaluation request by invitation) and your email address.
• Waitlist Preferences (if applicable): your purchase intent within the next 30 days and your optional answer regarding what would be most useful to you (evaluating a specific car, comparing multiple cars, or both).
• Submitted Vehicle Information: listing URL, make, model, trim, year, mileage, asking price, actual price paid (if applicable), certified pre-owned (CPO) status, and declared vehicle history records (past accidents, maintenance logs, etc.).
• Communication & Consent Metadata: submission timestamp, consent version accepted, opportunity radar monitoring preference, and referral tracking parameter (ref).

3. Purposes of Collection

Your personal information is used exclusively to:

• Personalize our communications with you (using your first name) when sending your waitlist registration confirmation, your priority access invitation, or your appraisal report.
• Calculate and deliver your objective, independent market appraisal report.
• Calibrate, evaluate, and validate our statistical depreciation models and prioritize the most useful buyer features as part of our research and development (R&D) and the FairCarPrice pilot project.
• If you selected the optional Opportunity Radar monitoring checkbox: send you targeted alerts when an opportunity below fair market value is detected in your market.
• If you gave explicit consent to receive service updates (Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation - CASL): keep you informed about your priority access opening, our public launch, and pilot cohort openings.

4. Data Retention, Security & Infrastructure Hosting

Your personal data is secured using industry-standard protective measures. It is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for commercial solicitation or advertising purposes.

To run our technical operations securely, we rely on vetted infrastructure service providers:

• Supabase Inc. / Amazon Web Services (AWS): hosting of our PostgreSQL cloud database, located on servers in Canada (Canada Central - Montreal region / ca-central-1).
• Cloudflare Inc.: secure web hosting, Cloudflare Pages serverless runtime, and global content delivery network.
• Resend Inc.: secure delivery of transactional confirmation emails and valuation results.

These infrastructure providers may host or transit certain data on servers located outside of Quebec (including in the United States or other Canadian provinces), subject to strict contractual data protection agreements.

Retention Period: Personal information and deal outcome data collected as part of the pilot project are retained for the duration of research and calibration activities, for a maximum of 3 years, after which they are securely purged or irreversibly anonymized in compliance with Quebec Law 25.

5. Your Rights (Law 25 & CASL)

Under applicable privacy and anti-spam laws, you hold the following rights regarding your personal information and communication consent at all times:

• Right of Access & Rectification: request access to the personal data we hold about you or request corrections to inaccurate records.
• Right to Withdraw Consent & Deletion: withdraw your consent at any time or request permanent deletion of your contact details from our records.
• 1-Click Unsubscribe (CASL & RFC 8058): every email sent by FairCarPrice includes a secure, direct unsubscribe link as well as native one-click list-unsubscribe headers compliant with RFC 8058. You may also unsubscribe at any time by simply replying "unsubscribe" to any email.
• Processing Timeframe: when you confirm your unsubscribe request on our secure page or through your email client's native 1-click button, your preference is recorded and takes effect immediately. In full compliance with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), all requests are honored free of charge and processed instantly, well within the statutory limit of 10 business days.
